Strength training isn't just to increase your muscle strength, Strength training also increases your brain! Strength training utilizes repetition, repetition is what increases brain function. The constant repetition, over and over, reinforces in your brain the strengthening and building of the neutrons.
The reasoning of the mirrors in the gym are not for posing, though some will use them for that. When you can see the actual muscle being managed time after time, you are creating a mental growth process. The brain fires up to the challenge.

Yes, muscle building is not brain building, however .... , strength training is!
Say we want to increase the strength of our legs, we then need to dissect the muscles of the leg, the influences of supporting muscles, and what will be the after effect to the other parts of the body.
Once a plan is evolved the implementation of our planned program is begun, the work-out, and so do the repetitions.
But, to gain growth and a measurable increase the training has to be consistent. The continuous sets of repetitions reinforce a strength growth, and works much the same to the brains neutrons.
